Keeping Children Closer In Age
At Lollipop Preschool, children are placed in groups based on their age in September. Unlike other preschools with a 2 year span in the classroom, our classes group children into 4-5 month spans. By having smaller groups, we can provide an individualized approach to prepare them in all areas of development.

Our 3 year old groups learn educational fundamentals, sharing, making friends and functioning within a group setting.
Groups 5-7
4 Year Olds
Our 4 year old preschool groups are learning their foundations for life, including numbers, reading, and succeeding in classes.
About Us
67 Years Of History
Inspired by a love of children, and a belief that childhood should be a journey and not a race, a school teacher set out in 1959 to realize a dream. With limited resources and funding, Miss Lorraine opened what would become known as the Lollipop Day Nursery School and Day Camp.
This family-owned and operated preschool has since passed into the hands of the founder’s son, James Angelillo, his wife Kara, and his daughter Lorraine. They continue to carry forth the tradition begun by his school teacher-mother over sixty years ago.

What type of format do you follow?
At Lollipop Preschool, we follow an elementary school format. While many preschools are strictly socially focused, we cover all areas of your child’s development including educational, physical, social, and emotional aspects. We prepare children for Kindergarten and K-12 schooling as they learn to take direction, function within groups, make friends and enjoy the thrill of learning.
Who will be teaching my child?
All of our teachers have full 4 year college degrees with certifications in Elementary Education. Our staff is focused on providing individualized attention, catering to each child’s needs and abilities. Many of our teachers have been with us for over 10-15 years, so you don’t have to worry about turnover in the middle of the school year.
Which group will my child join?
Every 3-5 months of a child’s development has different needs. Rather than grouping students by their January birthday date. We offer multiple groups based on their September age. This way, your child stays with the same students, who are much closer in age, creating a better learning environment.
What is your visitation policy?
At Lollipop Preschool and Day Camp, we have an open door policy. Parents are welcome to come visit unannounced at any time and observe on our video cameras.
What are the preschool session hours?
Morning: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Full Day: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Extended Hours: Available From 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
